We are creating the sanctuary for many reasons. For animals, they have never faced such life threatening challenges in modern history. Also, there is a need for a place where those who have outlived their usefulness in zoos can live out the remainder of their lives in a natural setting. For people, technology has created a vast chasm between humans and nature, disconnecting us from it and making animals “things” we look at on screens. For the planet, we are committed to being a model of eco-sustainability,
leading by example of how to live in harmony and balance with nature. Why now? This is decades overdue. Why us? Because we are a passionate group of professionals who deeply care about saving animals, enriching the lives of others and showing the world how we can live sustainably while being kind to the planet.
